Charles L. Buzard

Charles L. Buzard, 63, of 26 E. Main St., Mt. Jewett, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011) at Kane Community Hospital.
Born July 26, 1947, in Corsica, he was a son of Art and Dorothy Fitzsimmons Buzard. On Sept. 30, 1967, in Mt. Jewett, he married Collene Peterson who survives.
Mr. Buzard was the owner of Buzard’s Garage in Mt. Jewett where he worked with his son. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and also the Mt. Jewett Sportsmen’s Club and the Mt. Jewett American Legion. He was an honorary member of the Marine Corp. League.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Jeff Buzard of Mt. Jewett; a daughter, Heather (Matt) Rettger of Brockway; a grandson, Zach Vandervoort of Brockway; a sister, Diane Bernhard of Mt. Jewett; his stepmother, Donna Clare Buzard of Mt. Jewett; a stepbrother Jim Trussel of Mt. Jewett; a stepsister, Jan (Mark) Higa of Boulder, Colo.; and several aunts.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother-in-law, Gus Bernhard.
Private services, with The Rev. Vincent Cieslewicz  officiating, will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Jewett Ambulance.
