A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday afternoon at the new site of the Colonial Inn at 63 Fraley St. in Kane in the former Moose Club. Taking part in the ceremony are, left to right: Jim Airgood, a member of the Kane Chamber of Commerce board; Joe and Pam Carley, owners of the restaurant with their 8-year-old granddaughter, Lexi Maze; Jeff Andrulonis, president of the Chamber of Commerce board; Dr. Maryann Anderson, superintendent of the Kane School District and a Chamber board member; Jill Thompson, who heads the Kane office for State Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren); and Melanie Clabaugh, executive director the Kane Area Development Center, which includes the Chamber. The Colonial Inn, formerly located on Route 6 in Hamilton Township west of Kane, has been operating at the Fraley Street site since June. Parking is available on Fraley Street and in the rear on Commons Alley. The restaurant is holding its "grand re-opening party" today with several dinner specials. Musical entertainment is planned from 7-9 p.m. Karaoke will follow the music tonight. Prizes will be awarded.
