Criminal cases filed in Kane District Court

Several criminal cases have been filed in Kane District Court.
Information on the following cases is from court documents:
*Jarod T. Poulin, 21, of Cuba, N.Y. is charged with the possession of .95 of a gram of “Kryp2nite Original”—which “has been labeled as synthetic marijuana.”
The defendant also is charged with careless driving, following too closely, operating an unregistered vehicle and other violations.
Mt. Jewett Borough Police Officer Steve Hale placed the charges after stopping a silver 2002 Chevrolet Camaro driven east on Main Street (Route 6) in Mt. Jewett.
*Lorn Ray Champlin Jr., 26, of 1410 Route 948, is charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of “a drug or combination of drugs.”
State Police Trooper Lance Schimp placed the charges. The defendant was driving a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix on Route 6, about a quarter mile west of Greendale Road in Wetmore Township at the time of the traffic stop.
Police also charged Champlin with failure to drive within a single lane and careless driving for “driving into oncoming traffic.”
