Donald Paulson

Donald Paulson, 85 of 58 Venetian Parkway, Lake Placid, Fla., died early Friday morning, Nov. 5, 2010. Born June 4, 1925, he was the son of Algott Paulson and Emma Smith.
Donald was the former owner of Don Paulson Trucking in Mt. Jewett for many years and a retired employee of the United State Postal Service office in Mt. Jewett. He served in the U.S. Army during world war to in both France and Germany.
He was also a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club, 50-year member of the Masonic Kane Lodge No. 566, member of the Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, lifetime member of the American Legion Post No. 574, and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6347 and a member of the United Methodist Church in Mt. Jewett.
 He is survived by his wife Doris Paulson, sister Lois Sluga, brother Arthur Paulson, son Carl Paulson, two step-daughters Diane Crow and Marcy Wiseman, granddaughter Dana Paulson, grandson David Paulson, and step-grandson Matthew Crow.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dana Paulson and a sister, Helen Anderson.
Friends will be received at Cummings Funeral Home in Mt. Jewett on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at the funeral home with the Rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Nebo Cemetery with full military honors.
