Northwest Savings Bank of Kane has donated $1,000 to the Kane Historical Preservation Society to assist in the publication of the organization’s second Postcard Book. Randy Durante (center), manager of the Kane office of Northwest Savings, presents the check to Wendy Oakes (left), treasurer of the board for the society. Sue Holt (right), also a society board member, holds a copy of the Postcard Book entitled “Kane Summit In The Wilds”—“A Visual Journey Into Our Past.” The 92-page book, which contains numerous old postcards and photos of Kane, is sold at the Kane Depot on Fraley Street. “Our contributions ensure a commitment to our Kane community and our dedication to preserving the history of our town,” Durante said in presenting the Northwest Savings check to the society.
