Doris J. Williams, 80, a resident of Golden Living-Kinzua, Warren, died there Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011 after an extended illness.
She was born March 31, 1931 in Wellsville, N.Y. to the late Walter P. and Ruth Carr Hand. She has resided in Kane for the past 10 years. Doris loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed country music, NASCAR and having friends and family visit her.
She is survived by four brothers, Gerald Hand and wife, Dorothy of Cheektowaga, N.Y., Walter Hand and his companion, Beverly of Scio, N.Y., Donald Hand and wife, Sharon of Wellsville, N.Y., Bill Hand of Piney Flats, Tenn., one sister, Edna Lassard and husband, Paul of Falconer, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Williams; one brother, Harold Hand; and one sister, Helen Rice.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. 304 East Street, Warren, PA. at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Witherington, Chaplain of Ascera Care Hospice, officiating. Interment will be in Wellsville, N.Y. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through the American Cancer Society.
