Eight bowlers qualify for states

The Kane Elks Youth Bowling League, under the coach of John Carlson, had six kids qualify for states which will be held in Lancaster on May 19 and 20. The top eight bowlers in both boys divisions qualified for states and the top seven girls advance. In the 11-years-and-under boys handicap, Bryce Bizzak placed third out of 64 bowlers. Alex Lindquist was fourth and Matt Boyer was sixth. In the 12-year-and-above boys handicap, Dominic Nicklas placed sixth out of 59 bowlers. For the girls age 12-and-above handicap, Erin Paulson placed second out of 42 bowlers. She also earned a $200 scholarship for her second place finish. Brandi Wheatley placed fifth.
