Elizabeth “Betty” Grolemund

Elizabeth “Betty” I. Grolemund, 88, of 109 Pennsylvania Ave., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012.
Born Oct. 12, 1923, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Elvira Nelson Bush. On Feb. 5, 1949, in Kane, she married John Grolemund who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Grolemund had worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the the former Jacobus-Poklar Motors. 
She was a member of the East Kane United Methodist Church and belonged to the Mountain Grange # 1307. Not only did she enjoy traveling, but she also organized many bus trips for fellow travelers. She frequented the Kane Senior Center where she enjoyed the company of her friends. Betty also took pleasure in tending to her many flowers.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonita (George) Sisak of Dansville, N.Y.; two grandsons, George Sisak of Rochester, N.Y. and Andrew Sisak of Dansville, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Katharine Bush of Kane; and two nieces, Deborah Bush of Kane and Karen Schreiber of Meadville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chester “Chet” Bush, and a sister, Jean Schreiber.
Friends will be received Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Brian Aul of the East Kane United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
