Elk County uses big third quarter to defeat Kane

Kane found itself on the short end Friday night in a 60-39 loss to visiting Elk County Catholic.
The Kane Wolves were able to stay with the Elk County Catholic Crusaders the first half despite only shooting five of 16 from the free-throw line. The Crusaders hit a big desperation 3-pointer right before the buzzer of the half to take a six-point lead into the locker room instead of a three-point lead.
The Wolves fought hard both ways in the first half but the constant pressure was able to create several turnovers and easy baskets in the second half. Kane again had a tough time at the charity stripe going only seven out of 13.
