Ted Lutz These first-grade students at the Kane Elementary School enjoy the books they received Friday at the first Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) Day for the new school year. Under the RIF program, students in kindergarten through fifth grade receive a free book to keep three times during the school year. The next RIF Day is set for Dec. 9.
