Following in father's footsteps

As a youngster, Ken VanGiesen (left) of Kane often wore a camouflage shirt and cap to dress like his father, Tom VanGiesen, a 21-year member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Ken VanGiesen, who joined the National Guard after graduating from Kane Area High School in 1999, was killed Monday while serving in Afghanistan.
