Francis L. "Doc" Fleeger

Francis L. "Doc" Fleeger, Sr.,  83, of 28 Virginia Ave., James City, died early Thursday morning, Oct. 28, 2010 at the Kane Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 9, 1927 in Butler, he was the son of Floyd and Kathryn McAnallen Fleeger. On July 11, 1958 in Kane, he married Cleo M. Swedenhjelm, who died in 1997.
Mr. Fleeger was a fork lift driver at Stackpole Corp. in Kane for over 20 years.
He was a member of the VFW #1132 and the Loyal Order of Moose, both in Kane, the Kane Fish & Game Club and the Hi-La Sportsman's Club in DeYoung.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Whitehead of Clayton, Ind. and Lisa Hulings of James City; a son, Frances L. "Doc" Fleeger, Jr. of Shippenville; two sisters, Viola Janezie of Phoenix, Ariz. and Ganelle Thurur in Florida,  plus six grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife and parents, is a daughter Kathleen "Inga" Kapp.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 67, Bradford, PA  16701.
