Francis L. Fleming

Francis L. Fleming, age 81, of Henrietta, N.Y. and formely of Mt. Jewett, died on Sept. 7, 2011.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Laura Lee; parents Thomas and Alice; and by five sisters.
He is survived by his darling wife and best friend, Phyllis of 60 years; loving children Kathy (Dave) Schlede, Susan (Patrick) Harder, Diane (Michael) Antalek and Julie (Darrin) Parada; grandchildren Steve Kriske, Christine (Gregory) Banks, Lisa Harder, Adam, Eric & Melissa Antalek, Rebecca & Megan Parada; great-granddaughter Julia Banks; brothers-in-law John (Noreen) Carlson and Robert Carlson; and also by many nieces & nephews.
After graduating from Mt. Jewett High School in 1948, Fran joined the Navy and served during the Korean War as a Machinist Mate aboard the USS Hyman.
Fran was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His greatest joys in life were his family and gardening. He bore his suffering with great patience and faith in God. He was always thankful for the spiritual visitations made to him by his Pastor.
Family and friends may call Saturday, Sept. 10, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc., Rochester, N.Y.. A Celebration of Fran’s life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church, Rochester, N.Y. Friends may join the family for final prayers and Interment at Nebo Lutheran Cemetery in Mt. Jewett, on Monday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m.
