Frank Trulik, 84, previously of Lamont, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Aug. 7, 1926, in Lamont, he was a son of the late Martin and Barbara Simun Trulik.
Frank spent most of his life as a farmer and woodworker and was known for his log cabin-style birdhouses. He was affectionately referred to as the “Mayor” of Lamont and constructed Trulik Springs in 1977, which still bears his name.
He served in the Army during WW II. He was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Rossman of Erie; and locally a niece, Nancy Cowan of Kane; and a great niece, Marian Severance of Lamont, with many other relatives throughout the country.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Joseph, Martin, Paul and Steve Trulik; and four sisters, Mary Painter, Anna Reams, Pauline Veritz and Barbara Wallace.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
