George J. Grisham

George J. Grisham, 91, formerly of Bradford, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at the Blair House Senior Living Community, Macon, Ga.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1920, in Machias, N.Y., the son of the late Francis and Ruth Bellman Grisham.
On Jan. 25, 1944 he married Betty M. Bolles, who preceded him in death on March 2, 2007.
He was a 1940 graduate of the Bradford Area High School.
He was employed by the former A & P grocery store, Bradford as a Produce Manager for 42 years.
He was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church where he had been a church elder and a former Sunday school teacher. While living in Macon for the past four years Mr. Grisham had been attending the Victory Christian Center.  He was also a member of the Meat Cutters Union. Mr. Grisham enjoyed traveling and visiting friends; he had traveled to every state east of the Mississippi River and every state that borders it on the west.
He is survived by one son, Timothy (Debra) Grisham, Macon, Ga.;one daughter, Mary Ruth (Peiter) Jerzak, Honeoye, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Grisham, and one sister, Sylvia Grisham.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at the Foursquare Gospel Church with the Rev. William Watson officiating. 
Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
