George A. Skok

George A. Skok, 58, of 16 N. Elk Avenue, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Kane Community Hospital.
Born October 7, 1953, in Kane, he was a son of the late Niccola Skok and Rose White Hannold. On August 15, 1981, in Kane, he married Bonne Burford, who survives.
George was a former member of the Kane V.F.D. and the Kane Fire Police. He was a member and past vice president of the local union at Kane Magnetics where he worked for over 30 years. He later became the assistant manager at Kwik Fill in Kane. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Bonne, are two daughters, Brenda Skok and Amber Skok, both of Kane; and a grandson, Landon Haight.
He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by his stepfather, Leroy Hannold.
Friends and family may attend a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. William R. LaVelle Jr., pastor, officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 112 Greeves St., Kane, PA 16735.
