Gerald N. "Jerry" Kilmer

Gerald N. "Jerry" Kilmer, 66, of 220 Haines St., Kane, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 28, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys.
Born Aug. 12, 1945 in Kane, he was the son of William and Sis Croyle Kilmer. 
After serving as an Air Policeman in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, Mr. Kilmer worked for National Fuel for nearly 27 years. He was a member of the American Legion / VFW in Mt. Jewett as well as the Wilcox Sportsman's Club.
Surviving are his mother of Kane; sons Tim Kilmer of Brockport and Chad Kilmer of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Jennifer Hefright of Russell; and brothers Bill Kilmer and Tom Kilmer, both of Lantz Corners. Nine grandchildren and two nieces also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jack Kilmer.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane, and may attend a service there at 11 a.m. on Friday with the rev. Chad Troup, pastor of the First Church of God, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
