Helen E. (Ernette) Hart

Helen E. (Ernette) Hart, 92 of Smethport, formerly of Jeannette, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, in the Sena-Kean Manor.
She was born March 29, 1919, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late August and Ellen (O'Mullen) Ernette. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, in Mt. Jewett, and its Rosary Society. Prior to being a full time homemaker, Helen was employed by the Elliott Company.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J.; two sons, Stephen E. and Robert E.; two brothers, Bernard and August Ernette; and two sisters, Mary Ernette Walck and Elizabeth Ernette Allen.
She is survived by her children, Thomas Hart and his wife, Laurie, of The Villages, Fla., Nancy Repine and her husband, Ray, of Vintondale, Helen Mathias, of Moorefield, W.Va., Frannie Sellers and her husband, Gary, of Greensburg, James Hart and fiancee, Carrie Transue, of Smethport, and William Hart, of Greensburg. Helen was also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the John V. Graziano Funeral Home, Inc., 228 North Second St. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday (today) in Sacred Heart Church, with Father Joseph L. Sredzinski as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Arc of Westmoreland, 316 Donohoe Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
