James “Bill” William Vasbinder

James "Bill" William Vasbinder, 87, of 1650 Philips Rd., Tallahassee, Fla., passed away Aug. 21, 2012 at Consulate Health Care.
Born Oct. 18, 1924, in Brookville, he was a son of Clarence and Dessie Belle Hottel Vasbinder. He was married to Daisy M. Simon Vasbinder who preceded him in death.
Bill was a veteran of WWII and had worked for the American Automobile Association (AAA) for 31 years. His favorite pastimes were golf, bowling, fishing and reading.
Before moving to Tallahassee, his previous residences were, Coontown, Kane, Washington, D.C., Medfield, Mass. and The Villages in Florida.
Surviving are his longtime companion Dorislee Micale; a son, William (Anne) Vasbinder of Woodstock, Conn.; two granddaughters, Jessica Vasbinder and Christie DePaula; and five grandsons, William Vasbinder, David Vasbinder, Daniel Vasbinder, Philip DePaula and Nicholas DePaula.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his wife, Daisy, by his parents.
Friends and family may attend a memorial service at 12 p.m. noon Saturday at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane.  Burial will be private.
