Janet Louise Duffy

Janet Louise Duffy, 77, of Oak Street, Warren, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Warren General Hospital.
Mrs. Duffy was born Jan. 8, 1936, in Kane, the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Sandberg Koza. Janet was a 1953 graduate of Kane Area High School. She then went on to work at Bell Telephone Company as a Switchboard Operator. Throughout the years, she was also employed as a teller at PNC Bank and a secretary for American General. For many years, she and her husband, "Bud", were the co-owners of Ideal Bakery. 
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed dancing, flowers, gardening, reading, embroidery work and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph “Bud” Duffy, Jr., whom she married on Aug. 11, 1962 at the First Presbyterian Church, Warren; two sons, Joseph E. Duffy, Warren, and Sean Duffy, and his girlfriend, Kimberly Brewer, Erie; one sister, Beverly “Tyke” Grady, and husband, David, Warren; five grandchildren, Christine Drayer Nelson, Ahsley Drayer, Riley Brown, Andi Jean Duffy and Michael Duffy; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Koza; and a nephew, Michael Gheres.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Thursday, Jan. 17,  from, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there at 12:30 p.m  with The Rev. Ellie Johns-Kelly, pastor, First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery.
