John E. Gentilman

John E. Gentilman, 91, formerly of 536 Park Ave., Kane, died Monday morning, July 11, 2011 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Aug. 22, 1919, he was the son of Vincent and Theresa Ventri Gentilman.
Mr. Gentilman was a state policeman in the Kane area for over 20 years.  Earlier, he served in the U.S. Army Engineers during WWII.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, VFW #1132 in Kane, and Kane Lodge #566, F&AM.
Surviving are a son, John J. Gentilman of Kane; a sister, Helen Zicek of Frederick, Md., and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death, besides his parents, are his former wife, Genevieve H. Rossi Gentilman; brothers Victor, Dominick, Fred and Joe Gentilman; and sisters Maryanne Kibler, Betty Brinkley and Lena Pasquerett.
No public service will be observed. Interment will be in St. Callistus Cemetery in Kane. Memorial contributions may be made to a church or charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., Kane.
