Members of the Mt. Jewett and Hamlin Township volunteer fire departments took part in a joint drill earlier this week using the "Jaws of Life." The "Jaws" tool helps firefighters extricate victims trapped inside their vehicles at accident scenes. The two volunteer fire departments often hold joint training programs. More volunteers are needed by the fire departments. If interested, contact a firefighter or the fire halls in Mt. Jewett or Hazel Hurst.
