Joseph E. Peterson

Joseph E. Peterson, 58 of 804 Welsh St. Kane passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 in East Smethport.
Born Dec. 15, 1952 in Kane, he was a son of Chester F. and Frances D. McCauley Peterson.
Mr. Peterson had been employed as an equipment operator and was employed by Duffy’s in East Smethport. He had served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.
He was a member Tabor Lutheran Church, member and past president of the Eagles Club of Kane, Kane Fish and Game Club and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving besides his parents of Kane are a daughter, Heather D. Kolby of Emporium; a son, Aaron S. Peterson of Coraopolis; four grandchildren, Zachary Peterson, Madeliene Peterson, Lillian Peterson, Connor Peterson and Jacob Kolby; a sister, Robin A. Kerr of Kane; a brother, James W. Peterson of Kane; and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held in the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home 103 S. Fraley St. with the Rev. David Pflieger, Chaplin of the Lutheran Home of Kane officiating. Burial will be in Tabor Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donors' choice.
