Joseph Paul Cecchetti

Joseph Paul Cecchetti, 80, of Ideal Farm Road, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Kane Community Hospital.
Born June 9, 1931, in James City, he was a son of Umberto and Amilea Sier Cecchetti. On May 16, 1951, in Wichita Falls, Texas, he married Shirley A. Anderson who preceded him in death.
Mr. Cecchetti served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He retired as a foreman from Stackpole and then became custodian of the Kane Area School District. He was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons, Steve (Deborah) Cecchetti of Oviedo, Fla. and Tom (Daleen) Cecchetti of Kane; four grandchildren, Micah Cecchetti, Lisa Moore, Andrew Cecchetti and Jared Cecchetti; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Cecchetti and Sandy Cecchetti.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Callistus Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
