Judith E. Lang

Judith E. Lang, 96, formerly of JoJo Road, Kane, died Friday evening, Oct. 28, 2011 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Nov. 22, 1914 in Suffolk, Va., she was the daughter of Francis M. and Bernice C. Butler Pierce. On Aug. 23, 1943 in Fort Story, Va., she married Donald W. Lang, Jr., who died in 2003.
Mrs. Lang served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during WWII at Walter Reed Hospital and Woodrow Wilson General Hospital. Later, she was the school nurse at Sheffield High School and worked at the Summit Hospital and Community Hospital, both in Kane.
The last member of her immediate family, she is survived by nieces and nephews and a cousin, Barb Yonker of New Braunfels, Texas.
Friends may attend a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane with the rev. David Pflieger, chaplain of The Lutheran Home at Kane, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
