Ted Lutz Kathy Gibson (right), a 1997 graduate of Kane Area High School, presents three graduating seniors with the Kane High School Alumni Memorial Awards. Receiving $5,000 scholarships at commencement are, left to right: Kayleen Mericle, Deborah Lorenzo and Tyler Laurie. Since the inception of the Alumni Memorial Awards in 1985, a total of 66 graduating seniors have received $149,000 in scholarships. In addition to these scholarships, a $1,000 award is going to a "Rising Senior" in college. The recipient is Edana Depto.
