Over the past few weekends the Kane Area Marching Band has competed at two different competitions in the area, one in St. Mary's and the other in Warren. At the St. Mary's competition, the band took home awards for best music, best visual, first place in their division and highest overall score in the competition. This past weekend in Warren, the band took home awards for best percussion, best auxiliary, and first place in their division. The band also had the second highest score in the entire competition. The band will continue in its quest for excellence in the next few weeks where they will compete in Johnston on Oct. 15 and at Chapter 11 Championships at Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Oct. 22.
