Kane cheerleaders' first season ready to get under way

While official sports seasons last two to three months for varsity sports, cheerleading is a little different.
Cheerleading is broken up into several different seasons. The Kane cheerleaders have begun their fall cheerleading season, which head coach Chris Niklaus considers a “preseason for the competition team.”
Niklaus is now in his 17th year coaching the squad, and assistant coach Pat Horton is now in her 28th year of coaching. The fall varsity cheerleading squad has eight members, led by two seniors, Tina Moore and Alison Packard; three juniors, Kayla Kerner, Shelby Schreckengost, and Jordan Tuttle will be on the team, along with sophomores Taylor Grube, Delaney Oertly, and Danielle Taylor.
