Kane council backs rules on new Rt. 6 billboards

January 18, 2013

Photo by Ted Lutz – These side-by-side billboards are located along Biddle Street (Route 6) near Route 321 in Kane. A resolution supported by the Kane Borough Council would restrict new billboards along the Route 6 corridor, which is targeted as a "scenic byway."

The Kane Borough Council earlier this week voted 7-0 to adopt a resolution that supports an "initiative' to make Route 6 a "scenic byway."
Council President Howard Kane joined with Councilwomen Janet Bard and Holly Harris and Councilmen Harold Hallberg, John Gentilman, Dennis Drost and Bill Tunall to endorse the resolution.
