Kane finishes third in North East Tournament

Photo by Keith Reigel The following were place winners in the recent wrestling tournament they participated in over the weekend at North East. The team finished in third place behind champions Redbank Valley and Sagertown.

NORTH EAST – The Kane Wolves wrestling team competed in the North East Tournament this past weekend and came home with an impressive third place finish.
The Wolves put together one of their best tournaments of the year as they were able to place seven individuals in the top six.
Kane finished fourth out of 16 teams last year and was able to step it up even more as they came home with a third place finish out of 22 teams.
"It was a nice tournament for the kids," said Kane head wrestling coach Mike Swartwood. "I was real happy with the way the team wrestled. It was a total team effort. To go to a tournament this size and come away with third makes you feel pretty good.
