The Kane Middle School Lady Wolves improved to 2-0 by beating St Marys 28-18 in the first round of the Elk County Catholic Tournament on Friday.
Kane played a great game against a solid team. St Marys attacked with full court pressure the entire game, at times causing problems for the Wolves.
Although Kane led the entire game, the Dutch came to within two points in the fourth quarter. St Marys slowly kept whittling away at our first quarter 12-4 lead.
"Their girls played a solid game," said Kane head coach Cathy Counts.
