BRADFORD – In recent cross country action, the Kane Wolves competed at the Bradford Invitational and also at Brookville on Tuesday, besting many teams in the process.
As has been the trend this season, the only squad to field a full team was the varsity boys, although the other teams had fine individual performances. At Bradford, the varsity girls would start the day with Kristin Boyer placing fifth overall with a time of 21:42 and Olivia Kumher running a time of 36:04.
The varsity boys followed with a third-place finish, beating such District 9 powerhouses as Bradford, ECC and Punxsutawney, but fell to “A” classification contenders Oswayo Valley and Northern Potter. Teammates Chris Hunt and Avery Colson led the Wolves once again with times of 18:07 and 18:10 respectively. The two runners placed 10th and 11th.
