Katherine Ann Causer

Katherine Ann Causer, 75, of 152 W. Main St., Mt. Jewett, died Sunday (Nov. 14, 2010) at her home.
Born Sept. 9, 1935, in Mt. Jewett, she was a daughter of Charles and Ruth Wallace Thomas. On July 27, 1953, in Mt. Jewett, she married Lavern Causer who survives.
Mrs. Causer was a homemaker and provided home care for her disabled aunt for many years. She belonged to the Birthday Card Club and was a member of TOPS, Mt. Jewett chapter, where she served as a weight recorder for 32 years.
She also was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and had been active in the 4-H for several years.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Ruth Hamilton and Carol Wareham, both of Cyclone, and Becky Causer and her husband, Frank Lucco of Bradford; a brother, Charles M. Thomas of Bradford;  five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She also is survived by her dog, Baby.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents,  by two brothers, James Thomas and Kenneth Thomas; two sisters, Susan Thomas and Joann Thomas; and her son-in-law Eugene “Mike” Wareham.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Mt. Jewett where a Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.  Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with The Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor  of St. Callistus Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be at Bridgeview Cemetery.
