Kathryn Josephine Rankin Ressler

Kathryn Josephine Rankin Ressler, 90, died on Jan. 22, 2012 at Sumter Health and Rehab in South Carolina.
She was born in Kane, a daughter of the late John and Agnes Rankin. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a life member of the VFW Post 3034.
She loved flowers and music of all sorts and was an avid dancer and played the guitar in a band. Mrs. Ressler passed away on her daughter Kathy’s birthday. She attended Bethesda Church of God.
Surviving are: two sons, Ken Forsyth of Kane, and John Forsyth and his wife Debbie of Jessup, Ga.; four daughters, Mary Lou Bloomquist and her husband Seth of Kane, Sandra Armstrong and her husband Joe of Erie, Dorothy Harrold and her husband Jim of Sumter, S.C., and Darlene Lyons and her husband Jerry of Erie; three stepchildren, William Ressler and his wife Nadine of Lancaster, Carol Sunda and her husband Billy of Erie, and Donna Diehl and her husband John of Salt Lake City, Utah, along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Vaughn Lee Forsyth and her second husband, William Ralph Ressler; a daughter, Kathy Jane Forsyth; and a grandson, Brent Lyons.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, 103 South Fraley St., Kane, Pa. 16735.
Memorials may be made to the Shiners Crippled Children’s Hospital, 1645 W. 8th Street, Erie, PA, 16505.
