Lady Wolves’ soccer team has quality, Not quantity

August 31, 2012

Photo by Amy Geer – The Lady Wolves’ 2012 soccer team are pictured above, from left to right are, front row, Dawn Saquin, Shyanne Todd, Brittany Kowatch, Andrea Walker, Tabatha Hulings, Kelsey Johnson, Sara Mohney; back row, head coach Allie Saquin, Haylee Mague, Nerissa Rich, Leslie Trask, Maria Newton, Taylor Bucheit, and assistant coach Jeff Gibbs. Missing at the time of photo was Shannon Todd.

Third-year Kane girls’ soccer coach Allie Saquin has eight returning letterwinners from last year’s 7-9 team. That is the good news. The bad news is that there are only 13 girls on the roster.
With 11 girls on the field at a time, depth could be a serious problem for the Lady Wolves.
Saquin will be patrolling the sidelines along with assistant coaches Jeff Gibbs, in his second season, and new volunteer assistant Robynn Boyer. The returning letterwinners are Dawn Saquin, Taylor Bucheit, Haylee Mague, Brittany Kowatch, Shyanne Todd, Kelsey Johnson, Sara Mohney, and Andrea Walker.
