Lady Wolves volleyball team looks for playoff return

August 31, 2012

Photo by Amy Geer – The Kane Lady Wolves Volleyball team will open the season Sept. 1 at the Union Tournament. Members of head coach Judy Kessler’s varsity team are, from left to right, front row, Emily Hauser, Rachel Ferranto, Hannah Ross, Katelyn Moran, Shannon Kocjancic; back row, Taylor Morgan, Audrey Perry, Morgan Nicholson, Kaila Jamerson, Nikki Sicher, and Cheyenne Wheatley.

Last year’s Kane Lady Wolves volleyball team was in an unusual place during last year’s District 9 playoffs—home. For the first time in 17 seasons, head coach Judy Kessler’s squad missed out on a chance to earn a spot to the state playoffs.
With a record of 7-9, they were close, and with a number of key starters returning with an additional year of experience, Kessler is looking forward to making the playoffs once again.
