MORRISDALE – The Kane Lady Wolves volleyball team traveled to Morrisdale to take part in Saturday’s West Branch Tournament. The Lady Wolves finished with a 4-4 record in the round robin portion of the tournament, sending them to the silver bracket pool for the playoffs. Kane then won both rounds of that playoff pool.
Kane head varsity volleyball coach Judy Kessler’s team started the morning with a match against DuBois Area High School. The Lady Wolves dug themselves a hole early and trailed by a score of 21-11 at one point in the match. Kaila Jamerson, Morgan Nicholson, and Audrey Perry all had key points in the comeback. Five straight errors by DuBois gave Kane the 24-23 lead, but after an error by the Lady Wolves, the score was tied. Nicholson passed the ball to Jamerson, who pushed the ball into an open corner for game point. Emily Hauser sealed the win with an ace for Kane.
