Larry Anderson Sr.

Larry Anderson Sr., 70, of 100 Saybrook Rd., Sheffield, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Kane Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Larry was born Feb. 2, 1941 in Warren, the son of the late Raymond and June Shorts Anderson. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961 in the 35th Artillery Division. A lifelong area resident, Larry was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Clarendon VFW, and the American Legion Post 135. He was employed at the Warren State Hospital for many years in the Maintenance Department, from which he retired. He was also a member of the Sheffield United Methodist Church. He will be deeply missed by the many friends he made in his lifetime, and especially his family for whom he held dearly.
He is survived by two daughters, Londa Cochran and her husband Gary, Sheffield, and Wendy Littlefield, Clarendon; a son, Adam Anderson, Sheffield; a brother, Keith Anderson, Sheffield; a sister, Beverly Allison, Warren; and four grandchildren, David Littlefield III, Cassondra Littlefield, Nick Cochran, and Jacob Anderson. 
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death on Dec. 4, 2008 by his wife, Mildred L. Rudolph Anderson, whom he married on Jan. 18, 1965 in Erie; a daughter, Cynthia Anderson; a son, Larry Anderson Jr.; a grandson, Larry Anderson III; two granddaughters, Lacey Littlefield and Skylar Anderson; two sisters, Shirley Blum and Maxine Donaldson; and three brothers, Wayne, Robert, and Jack Anderson.
Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Saturday, Aril 30  from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Sheffield United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 1, with Rev. Dennis Johnson, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery with members of the Sheffield and Clarendon VFW Honor Guard providing Military Honors.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hospice of Warren County, 2 Crescent Park, Warren, Pa. 16365.
