Larry Wilson

Larry Wilson, 80, of 406 Oak St., Kane, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 21, 2011 in the Kane Community Hospital Emergency Room.
Born March 20, 1931 in James City, he was the son of William H. and Lucille K. Burton Wilson. On Feb. 8, 1958 in Kane, he married Lois A. Galvin, who survives.
Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, then was an operations supervisor for Columbia Gas Transmission for 34 years. He was a professional bird dog trainer for over 40 years, and a member of VFW Post #1132 in Kane.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Bruce Wilson of Parsons, W.Va., Glen Wilson of Kane and John Wilson of Indianapolis, Ind.; and two daughters, Vicki Reilly of Sayre and Susan Koehler of Ashboro, N.C.; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by two brothers, William and Leland Wilson.
Visitation and services will be held privately at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane with the rev. Milton Jones, pastor of the Kane Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
