Leland K. “Lee” Conklin

Leland K. “Lee” Conklin, age 70, of East Hickory, died on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 at Country Acres Assisted Living in Titusville.
He was born June 24, 1941 in Kane, son of the late Giles E. and Myrtle L. (Peterson) Conklin. Lee was a veteran of Vietnam serving in both the Air Force and Army in Communications. He was a charter member of the Tidioute VFW and a Lifetime Member of the Titusville VFW and Titusville American Legion. He was also a member of the Titusville Elks and Moose Clubs.
Surviving are a sister, Susan A. Artz and her husband Charles of Fairfield, Calif.; a nephew, Charles A. Artz III of Dixon, Calif.; and a niece, Natalie A. Artz, also of Fairfield.
Friends were received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. followed by words of Celebration of Life by Lee’s friends and family.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover, with full military rights accorded. Condolences may be sent by email condolences@wimerfuneralhome.com.
