Linda M. Silvis

Linda M. Silvis, 79, of 966 JoJo Road, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at Kane Community Hospital.
Born April 14, 1933, she was a daughter of Norbert and Eva Brinkley Aaron. On Aug. 7, 1954, at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Sigel, she married Charles Silvis who preceded her in death on July 7, 2012.
Mrs. Silvis was a member of St. Callistus Church and belonged to the C.D. of A. Court Callistus #66. She also had been active in the Boy Scouts and the 4 H Club. 
She had worked at the former Walker’s Dairy in Kane and  was employed as assistant caterer for Don Espin. She also worked in Home Health Care.
Surviving are two sons, Dave (Bonnie ) Silvis and Doug Silvis, both of Kane; two daughters, Patricia Prillman of Collinsville, Va. and Elizabeth “Libby” (Eric) McNabb of Buffalo, N.Y.; two grandsons, Justin Silvis and Scott Prillman; a granddaughter, Emily Silvis; two great-granddaughters, twins Anna and Abigail Shrubb; a sister, Louise Aaron in Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, besides her husband Chuck and parents, by an infant son, Paul Martin Silvis; a granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Silvis; brothers Lloyd Aaron, William Aaron, John Aaron and Wilfred Aaron; and sisters, Marion Rose Aaron and Phyllis Jane Kerr.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. from 6-9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place privately at St. Dominic Cemetery in Sigel.
