Louise R. Hoden

Mrs. Louise R. Hoden, 81, died at 5:35 a.m., Monday, Jan. 31 at Hamot Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was born in Leroy to the late Paul and Isodene Smiley Rockwell. Her family moved to Sheffield when she was 7 years old and Louise has been a resident since then.
She enjoyed playing cards, dancing and camping and was a member of Warren Moose Lodge, Sheffield VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Kane Eagles Club Ladies Auxiliary.
Louise is survived by two sons, Michael “Mike” Hoden, Sheffield and Matt “Houdini” Hoden, Sheffield; one daughter, Tina Hoden, Sheffield; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Paul Rockwell; one sister, Isodene Rockwell; one son, Mark Hoden; and one daughter, Lisa Hoden.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at the Sheffield United Methodist Church. Rev. Dennis Johnson, pastor, will officiate at the 11:30 a.m. service. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sheffield Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney or Cancer Societies.
The Borden-Lloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
