Man waives hearing on burglary charge

A Kane man has waived his preliminary hearing in Kane District Court on a burglary charge, which is a felony.
John Derrick Morrison, 28, of 7031 Route 6 Kane, allegedly broke the rear door of a residence at 333 Chase St., Apt. 1, Kane, to gain entry.
Maranda Ackley, who lives at the residence, told police the defendant was "not welcome there," court documents show.
Morrison had been sent to the county jail, but now is free on $25,000 (unsecured) bail pending his appearance in McKean County Court.
Kane Police Officer Bill Nichols placed the charges.
According to court records, other charges include:
*Criminal mischief for allegedly damaging the door at the residence.
