Margaret E. Davis

Margaret E. Davis, 98, formerly of West Wind Road, Kane, died Monday afternoon, May 30, 2011 at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where she resided.
She was born Oct. 10, 1912 in Kane, a daughter of Charles A. and Anna D. Lynn Colson. On Aug. 9, 1935 in Buffalo, she married Harold F. Davis, who died in 1990. A former resident of Lancaster, N.Y., she was a resident of Kane since 1974.
Mrs. Davis was a registered nurse at Children's Hospital in Buffalo for several years. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church in Kane, where she belonged to the Morning Circle. She also was a member of Mountain Grange #1307 in Kane, and was active in the Community Blood Bank.
Surviving are two sons, James L. Davis of West Seneca, N.Y. and Thomas O. Davis of Sylvania, Ohio; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, besides her husband and parents, are a sister, Gladys Whitfield; brothers Edwin and Charles Colson; and a grandson, Garrett J. Davis.
Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane on Friday from noon until 2 p.m., at which time a service will be held there with the rev. William LaVelle, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Kane, officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
