Margaret J. Shadman

Margaret J. Shadman, 87, of 6689 Route 321, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at her residence.
Born April 27, 1923, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl McCauley Cartwright. On Dec. 7, 1944, in Emporium, she married Winfield Shadman who preceded her in death in 2008.
Mrs. Shadman had worked at various positions as a bookkeeper and was also employed by the Kane Republican for about seven years.
Surviving are a son, Richard (Judy) Shadman of Lancaster, Calif.; a daughter, Susanne(Joe) Zampogna of Kane; five grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by four brothers, Raymond Cartwright, Harold Cartwright, Richard Cartwright and James Cartwright.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon. Funeral services, with The Rev. Philip Pinczewski, officiating, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
