Margaret M. Moran

Margaret M. Moran, age 72, of 207 Madison Ave., Ridgway, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 8, 2011, at Elk Haven Nursing Home after a long illness of Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was born Aug. 24, 1938, in Punxsutawney, daughter of the late James B. and Gertrude O. (O'Conner) Quinlisk. She married John T. Moran on July 4, 1959, he survives. She had resided in Ridgway since 1967 and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, the IU9 Advisory Committee, the PTA, and the Eagles Club Auxiliary. She had been a homemaker.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Thomas J. Moran and his significant other Pam Gulnac of Ridgway; and Timothy J. Moran of Ridgway; one step-grandson, Brian Gulnac, and his wife Danielle of Warren; four step-great grandchildren, Marrisa, Brian, Alex, Lexi; one sister, Rita Klender and her husband Dave of Punxsutawney; a sister-in-law, Barbara Quinlisk of Rochester, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, William Quinlisk.
A Mass of Christian Burial and Committal for Margaret M. Moran will be celebrated at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Kersey, Friday at 12:30 p.m. (due to renovations at St. Leo Catholic Church). Officiating will be Fr. Eric Vogt O.S.B., Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Marys. Burial will follow at Oakmont Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Memorials if desired can be made to the Ridgway Public Library at 329 Center St., Ridgway, PA 15853. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
