Margaret A. "Peggy" Beavers

Margaret A. "Peggy" Beavers, 61, of 337 Pine St., Kane, died Friday afternoon, May 20, 2011 at Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center in Smethport.
Born Jan. 7, 1950 in Kane, she was the daughter of Virgil L. and Marjorie A. Golden Buhl. On Oct. 19, 1968 in Kane, she married Harvie D. Beavers, who survives.
Mrs. Beavers was a registered nurse at the Kane Community Hospital and the Ridgway Community Nurse Service & Hospice. Earlier she was a cook for the Colonial Inn near Kane and a bookkeeper for Shaeffer's Disposal.
A member of the First United Methodist Church in Kane, she also enjoyed quilting and other crafts.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Lindsay Novosel of Kane and Leslie Beavers of Baltimore; two sons, Dan Beavers of Rimersburg and Dave DiBernardo of State College; a sister, Christine Detrick of Kane; and a brother, James Buhl of Wheaton, Md. Six grandchildren also survive.
Friends may attend a memorial service at the First United Methodist Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the rev. William LaVelle, pastor, and the rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor of the Mt. Jewett - Hazel Hurst United Methodist Churches, co-officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kane Community Hospital Home Health Care, 4372 Route 6, Kane, PA 16735, or to the Friends' Memorial Public Library, 230 Chase Street, Kane.
