Marjorie A. Johnston

Marjorie A. Johnston, 85, formerly of Smithfield Avenue, Kane, died late Thursday evening, Feb. 23, 2012 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Oct. 29, 1926 in East Kane, she was the daughter of Joseph E. and Julia A. Walters Eck. On June 8, 1962 in Kane, she married John E. Johnston, who died in 1992.
Mrs. Johnston was a babysitter in the area for many years.
Surviving are four daughters, Carol (Robert) Mix, Robin (Tom) McGuire and Kristine Davis, all of Mt. Jewett, and Connie (Mike) Asel of Kane; two sons, Paul Boedecker and Chuck Boedecker, both of Warren; and a sister, Gladys McCamey of Kane. Nineteen grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive, plus several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by a daughter, Nancy Boedecker, and two sons, Jeff and Tim Boedecker; and 13 siblings.
Friends may call from noon until 1 p.m. on Monday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane, at which time a service will be held there with the rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor of the Mt. Jewett / Hazel Hurst United Methodist Churches, officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Kane.
