Mary “Marylou” Louise Dreher

Mary “Marylou” Louise Dreher,  86, Rothschild, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011 at North Central Health Care, Wausau.
Marylou was born March 21, 1925 in Kane, to the late Eugene and Gertrude (Wallace) Ward.
She attended the University of Indiana and graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 1952. While in Indianapolis she met her husband, Eldridge (Al) Dreher. The two were married on Feb. 8, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Marylou worked as a dental hygienist for many years in Wausau for Drs. Merkel, Gabler and Connaughty. She was a long ime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. After her retirement, Marylou enjoyed time with her friends, many of whom she made while working at the Knitting Nook store. In the last years of her life she was very happy living around many good friends at the Eagle Nest Apartments where she always felt at home.
Survivors include her son, Richard (Sherry) Dreher, Wausau; her daughter, Sarah (Randy) Fayas, Shawano; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles and a brother, Richard Ward.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011 at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau. Rev. Steven Gjerde will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will take place later at the Cannon Falls Cemetery, in Cannon Falls, Minn.
