Mary M. Chirillo

Mary M. Chirillo, age 88, of 422 Oak St., Ridgway, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born April 19, 1922, in James City, daughter of the late Angelo and Nicolena (Seri) Funari. She married Frank Chirillo on Feb. 23, 1945; he preceded her in death. She had resided in Ridgway since 1952 and was a former James City resident. She was a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church. She had been employed by the Shirt Factory in Kane for seven years, Quality Components for 32 years and was the owner and operator of the Ridgway Dry Cleaners for 58 years.
She is survived by one sister, Frances Kelley of Clarion; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Isabelle (Dee Dee) Chirillo on Oct. 15, 1963; one brother, Rudy Funari; and one sister, Jennie Oyler.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary M. Chirillo will be celebrated at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Kersey Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Brian E. Vossler, pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Wake Service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Leo Catholic Church or to the Ridgway Fire Department.
